Anna Silk

Anna Silk was born in January 1974. Her most popular role is Bo in Showcase's Lost Girl television series. Silk was a native of Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. She is the daughter of Peter an academic as well as Ilkay Silk who is a renowned actress director producer playwright educator and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna can recall some of her earliest memories of existence, such as watching and participating in rehearsals of shows. Silk was featured in many commercials while she was a young child. She earned her Bachelor of Arts was conferred by St. Thomas University, 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced two early shows: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk was able to move from Toronto in November 1999, to Los Angeles California to pursue her career as an actor. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007, when they met at an Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. The couple was married civilly in December 2009. In April of 2011, they renew their vows during the Jewish wedding ceremony held in Fredericton following her conversion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman gave birth to her first son Samuel Jerome Cooperman May 2013 Levi Aaron is her second baby boy, who was born on the 13th of May 2016. Silk has played a range of television roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. Silk was nominated for an award called the Gemini in 2009 to play this character. In 2009 she landed the lead role as Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television show Lost Girl. Silk made it known to her fans that she was expecting a baby at the beginning of January 2013, during a Showcase Season Three Special. On June 4 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the start of production on the fourth season. On June 20, 2013 Silk tweeted that she was back to work on the show. CNN Cable News Network named Bo, along with Lauren Zoie Palmer, as the same-sex couple on Lost Girl to be one of the top television Couples ever. E! Magazine declared that they were the top Television Couples of 2013 Entertainment Television. Silk's success has led to an enormous online following through social media.
