Her most well-known role is Tiana the her first African American princess as Tiana Disney's first African American Princess in The Princess and the Frog. She was named a Disney legend in the year 2011. Rose was in the role of Lorrell Robinson on the Academy Award-winning movie Dreamgirls. Anika Noni (born June 6 in 1972) is a singer as well as an American actress. Her most well-known role is her role as Tiana The Princess as well as the Frog's African-American Princess of 2009. Disney Legend was bestowed upon her in 2011. She also has a starring part, playing Lorrell Robinson, in Dreamgirls (2007) that received nominations for the Academy Award. And she is the jukebox player LaVerne Ganner in the Starz series Power.
